The Utah Tech Trailblazers football team represents Utah Tech University located in St. George, Utah. Utah Tech's first NCAA varsity season was in 2006, when the school transitioned from a two-year junior college to a full four-year college.
The Utah state legislature approved the new name of "Utah Tech" on November 10, 2021.[1] The school began using the new name in July 2022. The school had been known as Dixie State University since 2013, and Dixie College from 2000 to 2012.
Utah Tech received its current "Trailblazers" nickname in 2016. From 2009 to 2015 the team was known as the "Red Storm", and from 2006 to 2008 the team was known as the "Rebels".
The Trailblazers are a member of the NCAA FCS United Athletic Conference and play their home games at Greater Zion Stadium in St. George. The Trailblazers are currently coached by Lance Anderson.
