Terry Bowden (born February 24, 1956) is currently the head football coach for the Akron Zips of the NCAA FBS Mid-American Conference. Prior to his job with Akron, Bowden served as head coach for Salem University (1983–1985), the Samford Bulldogs (1987–1992), the Auburn Tigers (1993–1998), and the NCAA Division II North Alabama Lions (2009–2011). Terry Bowden is the son of former Florida State Seminoles head football coach Bobby Bowden and brother of former Clemson Tigers head coach Tommy Bowden. Terry's brother Jeff Bowden serves as Terry's special teams coordinator at Akron.
