The Southwest Baptist Bearcats football team represents Southwest Baptist University located in Bolivar, Missouri. The Bearcats are a member of the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Valley Conference, which they joined in 2014. The Bearcats' first season was in 1983 as an NAIA Independent, then they became an NCAA Division II Independent in 1986. Southwest Baptist joined the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association in 1988, left the MIAA in 2007 to become independent again, and rejoined the MIAA for 2012 & 2013.
The Bearcats play their home games at Plaster Stadium in Bolivar and are currently coached by Paul Hansen.
