Ronald Henry "Ron" Gould (born September 15, 1965) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the running backs coach for the Stanford Cardinal. He spent four seasons as head football coach for the UC Davis Aggies, a position he assumed in December 2012. Gould was previously an assistant coach for the California Golden Bears. He spent sixteen seasons at Cal, all as running backs coach from 1997 to 2012 under head coaches Tom Holmoe and Jeff Tedford.
On November 30, 2015, Sports Illustrated reported that Gould had been fired after three seasons with the Aggies. But Gould and the school quickly refuted the report, and Gould believes the false story of his firing was planted by someone who was trying to hurt Gould's recruiting.
Gould was fired one year later, after going 5-19 in his final three seasons at Davis.
