Nelson Lions

The Nelson Lions football team represents Nelson University located in Waxahachie, Texas. Prior to the 2024 season, the school was known as Southwestern Assemblies of God University. The Lions are a member of the NAIA Sooner Athletic Conference and play their home games at Lumpkins Stadium in Waxahachie. The Lions are currently coached by Jared Hudgins.
