The Minnesota Golden Gophers football team represents the University of Minnesota Twin Cities located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Golden Gophers are a member of the NCAA FBS Big Ten Conference.
Minnesota plays their home games at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, which opened in 2009. Previously, the Golden Gophers played their home games at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, which also served as the home field of the NFL's Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins major league baseball team.
The Golden Gophers are currently coached by P.J. Fleck.
