Mike Smith (born June 13, 1959) is the current head coach of the Atlanta Falcons. Before going to the Falcons, he was the Defensive Coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He posted winning records in both of his first two years with the team, but only made the playoffs in his first year. Smith quickly came in and named rookie Matt Ryan as the starting quarterback.
