Matt Prater (born August 10, 1984, in Mayfield Heights, Ohio) is an American football placekicker who plays for the Detroit Lions. He was originally signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at the University of Central Florida, where he majored in psychology.
