Matt Campbell (born November 29, 1979) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the head football coach for the Iowa State Cyclones, a position he was hired for on November 29, 2015. Previously, Campbell was head coach for the Toledo Rockets of the NCAA FBS Mid-American Conference. Campbell was promoted from Toledo's offensive coordinator to head coach in December 2011 after Tim Beckman left to take the head coaching job with the Illinois Fighting Illini. When hired, Campbell was the second youngest coach in the Football Bowl Subdivision.
