Joseph George "Joe" Vetrano (born October 15, 1918 in Neptune, New Jersey) is a former player for the San Francisco 49ers. After attending Southern Mississippi and serving in World War II, he joined the Niners for their inaugural season. In addition to playing halfback and defensive back, he was the team's placekicker, scoring 247 points in four seasons. Vetrano retired after the 1949 season, without following the team into the NFL.
