Valparaiso Beacons

The Valparaiso Beacons football team, also known as the Valpo Beacons, represents Valparaiso University located in Valparaiso, Indiana. The Beacons are a member of the NCAA FCS Pioneer Football League and play their home games at Brown Field in Valparaiso. The Beacons are currently coached by Landon Fox.

Valparaiso was previously known as the "Crusaders", but the nickname was retired in February 2021 in response to feedback from students, staff and the community at large. After soliciting ideas for months, the administration announced on August 10, 2021 that the new nickname would be the "Beacons".
