The Cumberland (TN) Phoenix football team represents Cumberland University located in Lebanon, Tennessee. Prior to the 2016 season, Cumberland was known as the Bulldogs. But on January 4, 2016, the school announced it was changing its athletic nickname to the Phoenix.
The Phoenix are a member of the NAIA Mid-South Conference and play their home games at Nokes-Lasater Field (capacity 5,000) in Lebanon. The Phoenix are currently coached by Tim Mathis.
