Bruce Philip Smith (Feb. 8th, 1920 in Faribault, MN - Aug. 28th, 1967) was an American Football running back for the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams of the NFL. He is best known for his time as a running back for the Minnesota Golden Gophers where he won a Heisman Trophy in 1941. In 1972 Smith was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
