The 2013 Buffalo Bills season is the franchise's 44th season in the National Football League and the first under new head coach Doug Marrone. The team will attempt to make a trip to the playoffs for the first time since 1999, as it currently owns the longest active playoff drought at 13 seasons.

This will be the first year of renewed leases on Ralph Wilson Stadium and for the Bills Toronto Series, both of which were signed in the preceding offseason. The Toronto series now expires in 2017; the lease on Ralph Wilson Stadium expires in 2022 and will presumably be the last agreement with the aging stadium, as the lease specifies that the process of exploring a new stadium begins during the lease period. The Bills will also start the 2013 season with a new starting quarterback, after Ryan Fitzpatrick (the starter for the past 2.7 seasons) refused a reduced contract and was subsequently released. The Bills had a three quarterback competition with Tarvaris Jackson, Kevin Kolb, and E.J. Manuel. When Jackson was released, it became a 2 QB competition between Kolb and Manuel.
