Notes[]

Georgia Tech coach George O'Leary left the team before the Seattle Bowl to become the new head coach at Notre Dame. However, O'Leary resigned from the Notre Dame job five days after being hired when it was discovered he had lied on his resume. O'Leary claimed he had earned three letters in football at New Hampshire, but it was discovered he never played a game for the Wildcats. O'Leary also lied about earning a master's degree at NYU-Stony Brook University, a fictional institution made up of the names of New York University and SUNY Stony Brook.
