The 1982 Los Angeles Raiders season began with the team trying to improve on their 7–9 record from 1981. After winning a court ruling against the NFL, the Raiders were able to move out of the Oakland Coliseum. This was the first of thirteen seasons for the Raiders in Los Angeles. This was also the year of the eight week players strike.
