The 1981 Oakland Raiders season began with the team trying to improve on their 11–5 record from 1980. The Raiders were the defending Super Bowl champions, but did not qualify in the playoffs in the 1981 season. During the season, they tied an NFL record by going scoreless in three consecutive games. This was also their last season in Oakland until 1995.
