Michigan 42, Minnesota 10
Michigan QB Rick Leach said the team was motivated by revenge for the '77 loss during the week.
Leach finished three short of NCAA TD record of 73.
He did set school record for completions at 201 with 14-yard pass to TE Gene Johnson on second drive and broke the Big Ten TD pass record held by Purdue's Mike Phipps.
