On August 5, Emlen Tunnell, formerly of the Giants, became the first African-American to be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame.[1]

  • March 7, 1967 – The Vikings trade Fran Tarkenton to the New York Giants in exchange for the Giants 1st and 2nd Round Picks in the 1967 NFL Draft, the Giants 1st Round Pick in 1968, and the Giants 3rd Round Pick in 1969.[2]
